We regret to inform you that Formerly So has officially disbanded.
It is with much sadness, and sleepless nights that we have come to this decision. This is not something that we have decided lightly. We have poured our hearts, soul, time and money into making this work, and it is unfortunately to this point we are being led, albeit kicking and screaming.
Formerly So is a lot of things to us all. Through music, and good times shared with each other and you all, we have come to know some of our best selves. For some of us, it is a reminder of what has been, and the good times shared. At the same time we will always carry with us a deep regret of what could have been. It is the ship that sailed the pleasant ocean of friendship, and the sometimes tumultuous waves of disagreement and disappointment. But it was a ship that sailed through it all, and led us to our ultimate journey: Self discovery, and a better understanding of who we are, and who we can be.
To all of the fans and supporters, we are sorry for letting you down (if news of this does affect you in that way) and at the same time we know we are making the right choice for the individuals of this band, and for the group as a whole. We love the music, and the experiences we have had – but as each individual sails into his own sunset, it has become pretty clear that we find ourselves in different boats, headed toward different destinations. Though we all remain friends, we find ourselves in different stages of life, and this seems to be the best step for all of us.
Thank you for the support over the years. Music is still a very large part of all of our lives, and we all plan to continue to express ourselves musically in the future. This page will stay open to let you know where everyone ends up, and to keep you posted on what we have going on, and our music will always be available via online distributors and social networks. (i.e. iTunes, Amazon MP3, CDBaby, Reverbnation, Myspace, Facebook, etc.)
Thanks again, from the bottom of our hearts.
Much Love,
Formerly So
